Update from jog leaders and committee

I hope everyone is managing to stay safe, fit and healthy.

I know the last few months have been fairly challenging for everybody, especially for those who have not been able to get out, enjoy jogging with others and connect with all our members.
I want to update you with regards to Muir of Ord Jog Scotland group sessions as we are now fast approaching four months since we temporarily stopped our regular meets. As you can imagine, as a group we are desperate to meet up again.
Behind the scenes there are many conversations happening about how and when we may be able to restart jog sessions. Your jog leaders are listening to guidance from the national Jog Scotland organisation/Scottish Athletics and are waiting to hear when we can meet in slightly larger groups than currently permitted (5 households). Before restarting we will be planning how best to make our sessions Covid Secure, and social, as previously was the case.
We know how important exercise of any kind is to our mental health and in the meantime we would encourage you to go out and jog alone or with others while following the Scottish government guidelines. Remember when running with others the guidelines state to keep 2m apart when side by side and 5m when running in single file.
If you have any questions and/or suggestions regarding your group then please let us know.
We will update you again as soon as we have some definite plans to announce.
